aged domain question

Does a domain that was registered but never really used (just some very simple information and a "coming soon" type of message on it) count as 'aged'?

I am looking into buying a domain that's been registered by this guy for 6 years but has no real content. Will I get any SEO advantage from the age of it?

If the domain never really had links, then I don't see how it'll effect any, but it still holds some type of weight. Why don't you get it up and tell us?

Basically when a domain never is used it will have no benefit regarding SEO. When you would like to purchase a domain which was already used you should check the following.

    1. Has the domain any PR.
    2. Check if PR is real.
    3. Check the backlinks of the domain and check the pages where the backlinks are placed.

Note that PR and backlinks can be easy fake so you should check everything detailed before purchase.
