Aged Domain – Sell or Convert?

My wife runs a successful Missouri Real Estate website at www.goallpro.com and is considering retirement.

This site has ranked well for many years.

We are trying to decide rather to sell the Domain or convert it to a National Real Estate referral website with the 50 states as sub-domains.

    Any thoughts?

Revenues are steady however as I mentioned my wife wants to retire.

When she retires as a REALTOR I only have 2 options:

    1. Sell the Domain
    2. Convert it to a National Real Estate Referral Website

If we convert it to a National Real Estate Referral site it has the potential of generating even more revenue than we are currently getting if we can monopolize on the age of the domain and rankings.

Maybe you can ask for her advice since you respect her that much. Both of the two are OK.I think you can decide it
by yourself. My personal advice for your case is that:directly sell the domain and find some other fun with your wife
    since she wants to retire.

well established and revenue domain , so selling the site at this stage may not get good value for that site

Why sell the old domain. Just convert it.

    Why you're selling it?
Sell it only if you need urgent cash or just convert it and reap the profits in long run!

If you do decide to keep it and convert it to a National Real Estate referral website, I would suggest you consider sub folders over sub domains, as any sub domain you create will be treated as a brand new domain and will not inherit the age/trust of the main domain.
Sub folders on the other hand will be treated as part of an old trusted domain. ;)

    Cheers
