In it's prime this site was one of my top sources of income. This is due to it ranking on page 1 in google for the keyword RIDDLES. That brought in about 4k uniques per day which isn't much, but..... the way the site is designed I earned over $50 per day in adsense and over $100 per day when I switched to YPN. Then it happened.... I was a novice SEO back then so I tried everything to get the site to #1 in google for riddles. Problem was it was a brand new domain and I pushed too hard. I only stayed on the home page for about a month and a half then suddenly dropped from existence in Google. Too many backlinks too fast! All the pages but the homepage showed supplemental. That has now been fixed.

But it's still gonna take some SEO work to get it back to the front page. For me the benefits are greater if I focus my SEO on my sites with even greater cash potential so I'm selling this one.

This is a 5 Minute per day site!
Once you get the site back ranking well it's gonna be an automated cash cow guaranteed!! Absolutely everything is automated and custom. It has a riddles submission form that sends you an email when a user submits new riddles. You just check the riddle to ensure it's not already in the DB and add it to the DB using the simple admin feature. Please note that is the only admin feature the site has because it doesn't need anything else!!

Comes with an automated mailing list sent out DAILY! (663 SUBSCRIBERS)
This is a BIG selling point. Signup (and unsubscribe) for the daily riddle mailing list is completely automated and in-house. I don't use any third party crap. The list is MINE. I personally custom coded a script that sends a daily riddle automatically every night at midnight using a cron job. So users have a fresh new Daily riddle in their inbox. The script updates it's counter and sends the next sequential riddle in the database the next day according to it's riddleID.

BONUS - The script also sends mime type headers so if the user can receive HTML emails they get HTML. If not they get plain text. Both are of course editable so you can add advertising if you like...(even graphic banners in the HTML version)

Comes with geotargetting.
Split your revenue between adsense and YPN if you like!! Since YPN wont pay for non-us traffic I used a tutorial on Chris Beasley's site to make it so you can send all non-US traffic to Adsense and send only US traffic to YPN. I have disabled it now since I took all YPN off my site but I can re-enable it for you before I give you cpanel access for the transfer.

Site earns $19.38/month from text-link-ads.com (after they take their huge cut!)

Site earned between $3 and $11+ per day in May (YPN) when I was able to use ad targeting and that was with only it's present traffic.

Now it only earns about $2 per day. It has earned $11.44 so far this month in Adsense.

Site has earned only $5.81 from valueclick. I only have the one top banner and pop-unders. So it's good spare change for your VC account but with only 900 uniques right now dont expect much until you get it back in top rankings for keyword RIDDLES.

WHY YOU WILL EARN A LOT MORE WITH YPN!
First of all to clear things up, I took YPN off of ALL of my sites because they disabled ad targeting because I was making ridiculous amounts of cash with ad targeting on my Myspace sites.. I am not banned. I can put up YPN ads momentarily OR just take a screenshot of me logged in to my YPN accoutn with today's date for serious buyers....

Adsense is screwing me in 2 ways. 1) they pay crap for clicks. 2) They dont allow you to blend ads perfectly anymore. With YPN you can get a lot more clicks because they allow you to match the ad link to the riddles link colors. 1 small 234x60 ad at the top will gain you the majority of your cash.

CURRENT TRAFFIC
Site averages 900+ uniques per day even without top ranking in google. People tend to search for specific riddle text, looking for answers I suppose.

I stopped adding new riddles back in January. Another SEO mistake.

Yes I've contacted Scott and we are working that stuff out. I have more time on my hands now so I've apologized and offered to give him whatever he needs to get it fixed including a partial refund to hire someone to do it.

This site won't have that issue as there are no licensing problems. It's custom. All that needs to be done is make a cpanel backup of the site and move it to the new server.

The partner links are either my links, the paid ones from Text-link-ads or the one link exchange I have with the layouts site. So yes all links can be removed if you desire.

Domain is at NameCheap by the way.

 

I must also point out specifically that this site is being listed on multiple forums today. I will be listing it on SitePoint this evening.
