I need a header designed for a sales page. The product is an Age of Conan PvP guide (e-book). The dimensions are 766 x 353. Payment: $25 Payment method: PayPal Format: PSD Please use the logo found on http://teamidemise.com/ as an example of what I would like. The following text should appear in the logo: - Age of Conan PvP Guide (header) - Become a PvP PRO! (subheader) - another text line Again, I want the file in .psd format as this text will be modified before uploading it to the website. The logo should contain images from Age of Conan (for example, characters, fights, spells) and a nice font (see http://pixhost.eu/avaxhome/avaxhome/2008-05-28/34583_XL.jpg for an example). The contest lasts 1 week or until a winner is found. If this contest is successful, there will be more work for the winner (a product box and banners for the same site). Thanks for your entry A4H. I like the font, and would like that text to stand out even more (with more contrast or different colors). I forgot to mention that the background should be white. However those images are spread and distracting. Please see the example in my original post (teamidemise.com). The header doesn't need many images; you can just find one image that is representative for the game, and work around it. If that doesn't work for you, just remove the images altogether, leave the text, and be creative. Or, another example, take this image: http://www.gamoholic.net/img/Age-of-Conan-PvP-mods.jpg (just the red image on the right, not the left one) and design the header around it. The header should have continuity, rather than separate squares or images. Hello Thank you for the feedback. Perhaps I misunderstood your explanation at first for what you wanted. I will change to the background to white and maybe combine the images or do something different other than having them spread about. I think I have a better understanding now. I will try to submit something new soon.
Thanks! After re-reading my initial post I can see why you misunderstood the part about images. What I meant was that the images in the header should be related to characters/spells etc from the game. Please do not use all the images in the header you already submitted. Rather, pick just one (also see the images in my previous reply for inspiration) and work around that. Looking forward to your next submission. And keep the font, it looks great!
How does this one look, I took out all the pics and added just the main one of Conan. And a sword on each side that I drew. I can take those out if you don't like them. Let me know any feedback and I can make any changes you need.
Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for your submission a4h. I'm afraid this is still not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something a lot more dramatic, that suggests massive wars and gore. I suppose that only someone who has played the game, would be able to understand how it's supposed to look. I'm looking for some honest feedback from other designers on this contest, even if you don't submit your own art: I was hoping to get more submissions and creative ideas. Is the price for this job too low, or why aren't there more submissions on this contest? Thanks in advance for your replies
@dan: I really enjoyed your submission. The background really surprises the feeling I'm looking for. The images on the right are not really related to the idea of "fight", but if those are editable layers I guess I can take some screenshots and replace them. Is it possible to .. hmm, combine the text with the rest of the image, as if to give it more continuity, to make it look like that image belongs to the text? I'm thinking, maybe if you added the tatoo pattern around the text or something, as if ivy grew around that text? Or any other creative ideas that you may have! @jackie: Thanks for the submission! The image is really related to PvP as there are two players fighting, however it's lacking a bit of dramatism. Do you think you could edit the graphics of the image a bit, to make the idea of war stand out even more? I thought that you wanted a white back ground ? Now are you changing your mind ? I had not seen any feedback from you so I did not do any more work on it. Perhaps I will try some more.
Yup the images are easily editable and the tatoo is direct from an AoC render il have alook at some ivy or tattoo around the text soon. Submission Two
@a4h: Well, I wanted it to look like the one on team idemise.com, but I realized it's probably too complicated; like I said, if you take an image and design something good around it, I won't mind sacrificing the background color to create the desired effect. @dan: I'm not quite sure about the font in your second submission. What I wanted was to create a bond between the text and the image, to at least get the impression that they are in synergy (my thought was to make the tatoo stretch around the text, rather than just inside it). However the images on the right, I like better Do you think you could use some effects on those images (see my previous feedback for jackie) and maybe crop them a bit around the unessential areas, to make them more visible? @jackie: Thank You! Hope to see a new submission soon! I've also had a few PM submissions and questions; going to answer them now. I'll have to double check the PM submissions, but right now I think it's a pretty close fight between Dan and Jackie -- depends how your tweaks look!
I would like to end the contest within the next 24 hours since there were a few good submissions. I'm still waiting for a couple of designers to send me their changes before I reach a decision. If anyone else is working on this one, please let me know, and when you think you will be able to post your design. I want to make sure that everyone has a chance to submit their work before closing the contest.
Nice changes Jackie! Do you use Photoshop? If so, can you use Filter > Distort > Diffuse Glow rather than those sparkles on the armor? Also, you could use Vignette (from Filter > Distort > Lens Correction) to darken only the sides and emphasize the center of the image. I like the text changes, particularly the "Additional text here" part. Let me know if you want to try the changes I suggested.
