1 month? No. Domains over 1+ years old tend to have more authority than newly registered domains like yours.
new sites can still rank, they tend to rank for keywords that have less competition tho. but that does not mean new sites cant get a decent amount of traffic.
From my experenice, ive run a forum, for the last 7/8 months. From that, its grown to 14k pages. And only now are we starting to get some sort of placement on google, about 200 uniques/day (from google search according to google analytics). Also the site: command currently shows about 10k pages. So yeah, it definatly takes time, no two ways about that. I like the logic behind this, A, if you are trying to spam google, with thousands of pages, its unlikely that it will be successful with this age delay. B, google recomends you build your site up over this time. So use this time wisely to finalize seo, build more quality content so on and so forth. Pierce
I am in the same boat as you EZguy...just make sure you are doing things now to get your site better with SEO in the future.
one of my site requires 1 year just to get pr1...that if you less do advertising.. but i learnt from that..now when i have a new site (as in my signatre) i am doing a lot of advertising to draw traffic. it's estimated in future to be pr4.. So dont give up. try hard on attracting people to your site..make more more people come to your site. Here in DP a lot information on how to get more traffic / get site popular etc. find it out and you can make it...
I have seen many new sites rank better than old sites. What matters is how well optimized you can get your site going in a very short period of time.
yea as everyone said you need to wait as domain age is trust factor is google and in order to build that trust you have to be around for some time. Also it depends on the competition in your industry so if the competition is less things will be bit easier and faster for you
If a site is in a very unique niche and you keep on building links for it then I think it's possible that you'll gain some rank within a month or two. But ordinarily, 1 month isn't enough to raise your rank in Google. This doesn't mean that age is the main reason. The only reason that age became an issue is because you can't build enough links and promote your site within one month to raise your PR significantly.
You can Still rank, just continue SEO your site. And Get more Related Contents of your site. Im Sure that 2-3 months you can rank most of your keywords...
Donot worry new domain can also come to No1 in google SERP. Try to build quality & related links, write quality & keyword rich content, write articles & submitt them, with a link pointing to ur site & make ur site frequently cached by google bot. Best of luck Day Kevi
I have 1 or 2 very new sites that were ranked within a month. So I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe it means that age is a factor but not that big a factor compared to others like relevance, domain name, etc.
