AGE of a domain name

    Hi all.
How come some domain names are 5 or six years old, but when you put them into one of those domain name agefinders they come up with an error, suggesting that it is a new or unheard of domain name.
Problem seems worse with .eu domains

    Why WHy WHy?

No that site script is just wrong. I tried a few of my domains on there and only 1 was correct. On some it even added a year, and it subtracted a year if not more. Just use domainstools.com to look for the age of a domain. It hasn't been wrong for me yet.

One reason could be it is checking when the last renewal for the domain name took place.

Which if thats the case it would be recent.

    It works well.
Strange thing though. The first tool seems to inadvertantly tell if the domain will be sanboxed or not. I kidd you not.

I used webconf's tool a few times & noticed mistakes as well. I would definitely advise not using that tool.
