I believe there shouldn't be any age restrictions.

Age solves nothing. Dumb you are born, dumb you remain :)

Just because someone has little understanding of what they're talking about, it doesn't make them dumb, they're just young. And just because someone's immature, it doesn't make them dumb.

I however think there should be a restriction, I think you should have to be at least 15/16 to join here, and especially to make money. I think that's common sense, I bet a lot of the issues with scamming, fraud, transaction problems here are caused by young people who don't know what they're doing BECAUSE they are young. I personally think you're asking for trouble by letting 13 year olds make money

However, then you could say that they're never going to get the understanding if they aren't given the chance.

I've seen things on DP that I wouldn't want my 10 year old to see. (or my mom, for that matter ;))

Point taken. I just steer clear of any threads that sound nasty. It is unfortunate that the mountain dew thread did not make me do such. Other than that, I have not seen anymore than I need to see. :D

I'm 12 -- and if there was an age limit, I must have really been in a rush during the registration (I would have been 11 when I registered). If there was such a rule, I will really miss you guys -- and, believe it or not, I will always be there flicking through the threads, whether I'm registered or not. :)

Edit: Good news! I just searched the FAQ/Rules -- and there was nothing about it. I'm staying. :p

Nothing about it on the TOS on the registration page either.

Agreed. Also anyone who is under the age of 18 can't have a paypal account unless they use their moms =)

Ahh, I'm not 18 nor do I use my mum's. I was using my dad's, and we called them up and talked for a while and they allowed me to change my dad's name over to mine. :D

I don't care about age limit. There'd be 5 years old here that I wouldn't care. But to be here under 13, either your really bored, or either your an tech talking enthusiast, cause there's not much for young people around. And me I'm here cause there's nothing bether to do while waiting. I hate it when I can't work on my site.

P.S. hmm, I'll suggest to implement a minimum age of 200 years when suscribing. Seems a good age.

Perhaps it should be left to individuals to ask peoples age when they do business with them.

I don't think there should be an age limit. Alot of people on this forum are 14 and under, including me.

I just don't believe children are at the full understanding and can handle the maturity of being a Webmaster.

I can see where your coming from, but there are some people who mature earlier then others.

When I first registered here at digitalpoint I was only 14 years old. Although I have not been involved in any "large" transactions I have yet to cause a problem. By looking at my iTrader you can see that even young people can manage just fine.

Me too either.. But, some people do mature earlier than others like what .Esence. stated earlier and some like me do just wanted to learn more and help more people as time passes by.. (that's the main reason why I'm here at DP). ;)

Im surprised that there is but also knew there will be teens here. Teens arent children (i think) so they should be treated like adults? If they made it this far! They are ready to handle... being a IM marketer.

    Just my unexsisting 02cents.
