I've launched a new site and doing SEO for that. But I've heard that now doesn't count links from articles, blogs, profile links and other links that are obtained unnaturally. Google does analysis of site and give top ranks to site which has value for visitors and natural backlinks. Is it true? If it is then I think I should waste my time making backlinks.
Yes, most of the Blogs and articles site have defined the relation for links as nofollow, but you can not neglect the importance of links with no follow relation. Even Google do give importance to nofollow relation links.

I agree with kashifaheem, its not the wastage of time, no follow links have their own worth, goolge gives them importance so keep it up do not ignore it.
