Hello Guys, I have a question and I would appreciate it if you guys could give your idea on it. Once a link is acquired, how long would it take for that link to count as a backlink to your site? Lets say I manage to acquire 10 PR 4 and 10 PR6 links for my site, how long would it actually take for those links to show results ! ! Anybody have any personal experience in this matter, what happend for your site etc. any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
3-4 months of google updates, but it's up to google whether the links would be counted or not. Google evaluate the quality of links first.
First, there is an initial delay until a Googlebot finds the new link. Typically this could take from one day to two weeks. Second, most SEO experts think that Google imposes a special time delay factor on new links so that they are only given their full value gradually. Thus the initial effect of a new link would be small, but would gradually increase. The best guess is that it would take 3-4 months for the full effect to be realized.
To see a visual affect such as pr update on your site would be like most have already said 3-4 months, but the way i see it serps are updated more regularly than visual pr, so my assumption based on my own experience would be that if you had recently aquired 10 pr4 backlinks with the anchor text, say "fluffy ducks" and the backlinks were picked up and indexed within a week i would say the next time you own homepage is updated, normally every 5-6 days with most of my sites, you should see an increase in serps then. so maybe as early as a couple of weeks. Thanks for the input guys, I wasn't aware of the gradual method of weight google gives to new links, even high PR links. I guess it makes sense as they want to make sure it is a permanent link and not a link that will disappear in a month. Anybody else have any ideas from personal expierence as how long links acquired take to be acknowledged and then show their affect !! Thanks,
