I don't have much idea about prices.
    What price are you thinking.

You'll not come up top for 'keywords' because basically you don't deserve to be top for most keywords; you might do well for "Where can I get my computer repaired by a student in Birmingham?".

Your copy needs some work, it doesn't read a if written by a native English speaker.

You should fix the dynamic URLs, although as it only has a couple of parameters so Google should be alright finding it.

    Externalise the CSS.

Write better, unique titles for each page. I'm not defining better here.

Write a meta description for each page.

Ideally take it out of tables, although that'll involve a re-code.

Whilst not really to do with SEO, you're using a weird mix of mark-up languages. Stick to one, put it int he doc type header.

Stop linking to http://jamesterror.net/ and http://dedis-built.com/ on your FAQ and portfolio page. Makes me think you've 'reappropriated' this template.

Get rid of the hidden links at the bottom of the page.

Redirect the non www version of the site.

Redirect the index.php version of the site.

    Meh, fed up now.

This guy is asking for SEO services... obviously he wouldn't be asking if he thought his website was already where it needed to be in terms of SEO. I could do most of the on-site basic SEO at pretty cheap rates (or someone else could), but really the biggest investment is going to be having someone invest a lot of time into building links. Send me a PM and let me know if you are interested.

I can tell you one thing that will help you a great deal and it won't cost you anything but ten minutes of your time.
change your main page title to "CC computer repairs- Birmingham, UK" or something similar and try to put Birmingham somewhere on your main page text. there are probably a million computer repair sites on the internet and you're never going to be on the first page of a search for "computer repair" because of all the competition. I assume that Birmingham is the market you're serving so I would try to optimize for "Birmingham computer repair." I think it's conceivable that you could be in the first couple of pages of that search and the best way to do that is putting those keywords in your title. Backlinks will obviously help too but that takes time. changing your title tag should give you results in a week or so.

    Thanks for that!
    I hadn't thought of that.
All of these criticisms i take on board as i am new to all this!
Going to work shortly, back 10.30/11 Uk time.
I've changed a few bits and bobs.
Its things like backlinks and meta descriptions where im a bit baffled.
I presume the meta description is in dreamweaver? the option to add one?

    no problem.
I built my site and then completely changed it a few months later because I realized the original version was doing me no help in the SEO department. the #1 thing I learned is that meta titles are extremely important. meta descriptions are less important but I'd put your important keywords in there and make sure it reads well because people will see it on the search engine results page.

Backlinks take time and effort (or $.) There should be plenty of good discussions here to learn about that but in my own experience forum signatures are the easiest way to generate them relatively quickly. directory submissions are probably second easiest. I haven't had much luck with social networking sites but many people have.

One further comment on your site: the design is very simple and attractive which is great but it took me a few minutes to figure out where you are located. If you are in fact trying to serve the Birmingham market, I would not only change your title tag but also make that more clear in your page content. Good luck!

Hi, you can try this code in .htaccess and it should convert the urls into search engine friendly once

    Options +Indexes
    Options +FollowSymlinks
    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?id=&page=$1 [L]

The first 2 lines are not necessary though. If it gives an internal error then tell me as I have not tested the code.
