After Register new domain how long to transfer..

curious to how long the wait is for most registrars once you register a domain to change to another registrar or resell the domain? 30, 60 days on average?

If you have just registered a domain name, you need to wait at least 60 days before you can transfer it elsewhere.

If you sell your domain name to someone else, you can push it to the new owner if he/she registers an account with your same registrar service, with not need to wait for such term.

Not all registrar services offer push-out option, and once the 60-day term is over, transferring takes from 5 to 14 days depending on both the loser and winner registrars.

 

it varies from registrar to registrar. Usually you can change ownership but after you have changed ownership you cannot transfer for next 60 days with Godaddy.

For resellerclub resellers there is 4 day money back period after which you can transfer or change ownership.

 

Some, like eNom, do not allow internal 'push's within 5 days of each other.

 

Are you using GoDaddy?

If so, yes on the 60 days wait.

 

I have the same question. I have a domain that I am currently in the process of changing to another registar.

From 1and1 -> Godaddy(why because I have great discontempt for 1and1)

I already know about buying and how long to wait for it to configure. And I know about new owner transfers.

But I wonder how long it generally takes to do a transfer from one registar to another. Its my first time doing it. And I know it says 4 - 6 days. But I think that is a wee bit long. I would think 1 - 2 days. Especially if both registars are in the same country. Which I believe both 1and1 and Godaddy are.
