With the recent release of Penguin 2.0 we are wanting to ask people if high quality link pyramids are dead? or are they still working? What we mean by high quality pyramids are really good Tier One links (Blog Post, Web 2.0's ) that all have at least 80% uniquness. Nothing that is below 80% used in teir ones. Are you still getting good results? Or have you been getting Webmaster Messages or Deindex? Dropped rankings?
Yes...still if you have three tire linking with optimized content then it will not get affected by the Penguin 2.0. I would like to say that yes i am getting the good result for my site as we are result with the good SERPs as we believe in that content is king and we have merged it with Penguin strategy.
Please tell us your building strategy, I'm searching for link building step by step without bot software's.
Link pyramids are still effective but you have to do it naturally so you have to use other methods of link building too.
Yes, link pyramids still work but as other members have mentioned: make the links appear natural. Use variations of your target keyword instead of using your target keyword repeatedly. SERPpoint is right too: use other methods of link building. Do not put all your eggs in one basket. Hope that helps. Have a good day!
Everyone above is right. They can be very effective. You may have to put more time into them now though. I would suggest making more posts than you would have before. The more content you can get on them the better. You need to make them look like a regular site, almost like your money site. I would make sure to post on these sites at least 2-3 month after your initial setup and content creation. This way you can make sure that those properties stay fresh.
