Hallo, I don't know how manage this Story: a strong website received a penalization after a continue hosting down of 16/17 days (february 2007). After return online, it losts many ranks in serp for most keywords. Meanwhile, I splitted the website into two, and the forum now is a new community, with a good presence on google serp. The new website si working fine But the old (strong...) one no: in old website (since 2001, pagerank 5, with many many backlinks) now only some keywords are like before, but the main traffic is lost. I'm looking for other reasons for this penalization: I found some wrong 301 redirects and some dead link. I removed them, and still working on it. The questions are: - what else to check? - is there a limit in .htaccess list of 301 redirect? - how does it cost a SEO who could solve the problem? Thanks!
I asked to a big SEO agency: they asked about 4,000 US dollar to solve the problem Do you think is the price required for this work?
Sounds expensive, I would do it for half Since it has been almost 10 months and you haven't seen the results come back it sounds like it's time for some good link building.
yes, was a surprise, and my budget is into a lower level... link building: according to google webmaster central the site in these month has reached more than 150,000 backlinks.... without link exchange Maybe the problem is into another section?
