    Sounds about right. I doubt Google would dismiss every directory since DMOZ is a directory.

    Ive actually found that more people are starting to use directories to find what they're looking for (more than before). Google results are not as good as they used to be

    Not after the recent Google update but since a long time Directory Submission doesn't make much traffic in increasing traffic. No matter the high PR directories still may be the good link building resource.
