    It took my site a little over a week, but with the way Google has been lately, I honestly do not know.

    no one knows, except Google,

    I submitted about 5-10 sitemaps, only one of them was cached. Latest caches of Google for my site were from June 10 to June 20

    Anywhere between 3 days and 2 weeks is my experience. It depends on a wicked brew of link coming in, quality content, competition, and understandable code (to a spider, not just your browser). Put all of these together and there will be an obscure reference to how long it takes to get indexed.... I also think that Googlebots mood of the day may have something to do with it ;)
