Build some backlinks to it so that it ranks for your keywords; article marketing, forum sigs, comments on dofollow blogs - they all work
How about have a good think, before asking us. We could give you a million suggestions, but you should know what you want to do with your site already, otherwise why did you build it.
1. Optimize for search engines 2. Increase traffic with articles, social marketing etc 3. Put ads, affiliate links etc to make some cash...
Thats like asking what colour is............? You provide little details of what you've done or planning to do to this website. Expect as detailed an answer as you have given us a question.
First you have to make a detailed SEO work, then submit your sitemap to google and yahoo, get backlinks - from directories, blogs, forums, etc
First thing to do, check your site for bugs and other stuffs that requires editing the whole thing. Or maybe revising a particular portion. After you have finished with trial and error of your site, make sure that you analyze what your site is all about. Think of your target market, your needed keywords for optimization, and ask yourself if the site you have built is informative enough to be loved by the SEs. And when all these things are done, build LINKS.
Make sure you have a seperate title and desc meta tag for each page targeting different keywords, and those keywords are in prominent places on each page, with a decent keyword density of about 5% per page. Then submit articles with backlinks to ezinearticles, goarticles, and some other sites. Build links <------- Also the best links you can and should get will be dir.yahoo.com ($299/yr), business.com ($299/yr) and bestoftheweb ($99/year). Stagger these. Do one of these directories a month. Start with botw, then do yahoo, then do business.com, meanwhile build other links. Review your data with google analytics and see which keywords end up driving traffic and then focus on those pages and keywords more, and then focus on weaker pages too and see what more can be done (more links). Make sure links include "anchor text" when possible with target keywords for the page you are pointing to. Keep an updated sitemap.xml in the root ftp directory. if you do this... you should be fine. it will take time though so be patient. if you need traffic now, utilize google adwords but install conversion tracking so you are not running blind. I have alot of information like this at yourwebgurus.com including advice on seo and link building, places to get links, etc. Hope that helps!
