After you finish designing and coding your pages, what do you do next?

Im not talking SEO wise, i mean just for the page itself

for example my quickly thought of list:

    Validate XHTML + CSS
    CHeck Browser support
    Create robots.txt for bad bots
.htaccess to make sure redirects to www .my-domain.com
    Create favicon.ico
    Optimise Images

    What about you?

I agree with Smyrl, the custom 404 page is huge, as is the sitemap...

I do the .htaccess, and robots first, before starting the pages. Otherwise I'll forget.

I do the validation and browser check as I go along, same with css.

I don't do many favicons or images: images I fix before I upload them, except for pix that we take.

I agree, and Im sure this goes with out saying, but checking for broken links is a really good idea too. Sometimes 1 or 2 can slip by undetected if one is not careful. That and search engines hate that stuff when it happens.
