After creating your first website or blog....

Hi Gurus,

I have recently created my first blogging website and would like to know how I can start getting traffic to my site.

Is it necessary to do Google Adwords right from the beginning?

Please help.

Google adwords is good in the begging, while you do SEO on your site for it to rank organically, as Adwrods will put your site up in search results more or less straight away, and you can start to generate traffic, if the adwords campaign is done correctly.
On the other hand your paying for visitors to come to your site, so you need to make sure that when they do come you convert as many as possible, ensure your site is appealing and has good call of actions, so that your money is not wasted.

 

Adwords is good (especially because there are lots of vouchers for it flying about too).
But much like Wasim says - make sure you target your visitors effectively and have a good website for them to visit when they do click that sponsored ad.

 

After creation of a website increase your website visitor. Different ways are use for increasing traffic some are discuss below.
1)bookmarking
2)forum posting
3)directories
4)blog commenting.

 

using adwords will really help to to know the importance of traffic gaining keywords and at the same time involve in off-page promotions of SEO.

 

After creating a site, first create a xml sitemap & added it to a Google webmaster tools. Then do the on-page & off-page optimizationon your site...

 

Try adwords if you've got a budget.

 

at first no need to pay for traffic, first target free traffic by submitting article at directory, submit rss feed, bookmarking & by using social network like fb, twitter.

If you have the budget you can do Google Adword, but you still need to build link for blog...

 

You should do some promotion to your site like:

Social Bookmarking/Networking
Blog commenting
Forum Posting
Article Submission
Link Exchange

 

You should promote your site by doing forum posting in some familiar forums and social bookmarking .
