Hello fellows, Today im not happy, i go to check my google analytics and i see that my traffic drops from 15k/daily to 1k/daily, thats means my bussiness is almost over in just one day. My traffic was consistent and growing for the last months and after a "SEO Service" it drops drastically, i think google punished me. Anyway to get reconsideration? Don't be alarmed yet. With the new Google Panda update their have been quite a few cases of this. See how it goes for the next week or two. If it is still in the dumps then you can start to do some of the following: 1. Google your website name in the SERPs and see if your site pops up. If so you are not banned at this moment which is good. 2. Check your linking profile to see where all the links are coming from. If they are coming from multiple reputable sources then you should not be too alarmed. However if you do have a lot of links from spammy directories and such, Google has been de-valuing these links to help the SERPs better reflect the best websites for the end user.
Borduhh, if hope that my site will be one of this "CASES", if it is how much time you think for things go back to normal?
ReportMySite and simmilar site like yours, has been unranked for one reason that i thing is, 1. too spammy 2. auto generated content 3. full of unusefull content for users. I have some of website like yours which is make me $200/day since 2009. And after panda has born, i have switch it off!
But you see some big players like http://whois.domaintools.com, http://website.informer.com and http://www.markosweb.com the last two are recently new, whats the difference for them?
Well here is the thing. In the Big G's (Google) eyes, your site is really nothing new. This could be a permanent drop because of the lack of content on your site. Try to bring something new to the table instead of just doing what everyone else is. If you look at the last two sites that you listed both are innovative and have new content. One even has a way to integrate their tool into your browser. They are doing stuff different and that is what is getting them results. Smart Viper has a series of video tutorials as well as several other written ones. This is good content in Google's eyes because it helps the end user. As well if you look to the right of Informer's search bar you will see a list of sites that recommend their tool. As well I am sure anybody that uses their widget on their own site has a backlink to Informer. So you can see the ways that these two sites put a unique spin on things and I do encourage for you to do the same.
If it truely is down to an SEO service then you can submit a reconsideration request via your webmaster tools , be sure to mention the names of your SEO service and tell them the entire truth, If they believe you have a good case and your were simply misguided then you have a chance of it being restored. If on the other hand it has been hit by panda then it will take time to recover and its really no ones fault but your own.
That "SEO Service" you went for may have got your site sandboxed. Your first step is to understand where you are in the ranking, and get in touch with Google. Like others have stated, you need unique helpful content, to maintain top ranking especially for competitive keywords.
Its always better to ask from Google by putting it reconsideration request or use copyscape first to check if your site has duplicate/scrapped content. After Google Panda Update, GoogleBot is penalizing sites which are using scrapped/duplicate content and you may be one of its victim. Another method is to use Google webmaster tools to know and then fix the issues.
