After 8 Months, I finally have a page rank.

I am so proud to say that my website Video Blogging Tips which I started
back in June, now has a page rank of 2. To some, this doesn't sound like much.
However, to me, it's a big deal.

I have been blogging since January of 2008 and once I learned that you could
make a pretty good living online, I started heavily researching, researching,
    researching, and well, researching.

Now that I know what I know, I want to teach people and let people follow
me in my blogging and in my opinion, it's finally paying off.

However, I don't want to let this little page rank get into my head too much.
Do you guys have any advice on how I can continue to raise my page rank?
Or is the main advice just "gain inbound links?"

If you only just got 2 I don't think you'll have many followers.

Ah. Thanks so much for trying to increase my happiness. You're right. I only
have 15 subscribers right now. I stopped working on my site for a few months
and then got back to it this month. Otherwise, I am sure I would have a few
    more readers.

Anyway guys. Any tips on how to further my page rank? Or is the big deal
    with PR simply backlinks?

Well, I don't have any tips for you, only networking, meeting people and trading links in a good way with sites related with yours.

Anyway, don't try to achieve the PR goal because it's not "the real goal". PR is less important these days than it was a couple of years ago. Just to show an example, I have a PR3 site in first place in google competing with a PR5 on second place, while I have a PR5 site that loses to PR1 site competing for the same keywords. PR is not that important these days, just keep the good work and results will come (maybe not in form of PR).

    Best regards.

When it comes to PayPerPost, page rank can be pretty important. ;) But alright,
thank you for the tips. I'll just keep providing, and keep getting those inbound
    links.

    Thanks.

You should focus on increasing your organic search engine traffic rather than improving your
pr your pr will improve over time, you should be consistently building high quality backlinks to
improve your placement in the serps which will increase your traffic.

Good for you...page rank 2 is quite good..
how many visitors u get per day?
As for me, I am quite confused because
my wordpress blog is ranked 5/10 in just
less than 2 months, doing pretty much nothing..

You can see my post here:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1062474

I don't know what criteria Google want to rank our
    website or blog well...
