Hi everyone, I would like to get involved with affiliation. I already know of a few sites whom are offering affiliation services for certain online services. To promote these services, i'm looking at where to start. I noticed some people just building there own somewhat mirror imaged site with links to the affiliated site which generates the revenue. Do some people building websites which offer suggestions of companies for the specific service and link to all of the websites known? What is usually the most successfull way of buidling affiliation sites? Are there any good articles or free e-books out? Thanks a lot

Basically you can do it two way. You can make a site about something and they you try to find affiliate program that would work for your targeted visitors. Second way is that you find affiliate program or affiliate offer and you build your site around that program/offer. In cases like that, most webmasters would build landing page about a product/service and start promoting it. Of course this is very generally talking.
Choose a niche and then try to get the most targeted traffic to your niche website, just because this way you'll have the sales, not only the visitors. As for the technique itself, images convert better than banners and links; and adult niches bring more revenue than the others.
Make a blog on some free platforms, write nice content which you are familiar. Find affiliate programs that suits to your content. Add such affiliate program banners/text links on your blog. Put up adsense ads on blog. Update blog regularly with content and promote ypur blog. Tell me how much cost involved in this?!!
