    How affiliation marketing work exactly?

I have this site: www.moviereviewspro.com and I've been working hard on it from the beginning. Soon my staff and I are going to make huge updates to our site and implement our great ideas!

But, one of our ideas is that at the bottom of our reviews we could have a link or image saying "Buy this Movie on DVD today" or "Buy a movie ticket today" and when people click on that we would earn from that.

    How would we do this?

Brilliant. Except if you paid any attention to the real world you would know that Blockbuster is on the verge of going under and Netflix is kicking everyone's butt.

All the big names Walmart, Apple, etc. are already in this space.

Online movies rent for what $3 and that leaves how much profit per rental.

Can you drive the kind of volume necessary to make a reasonable return on profit.

Marketing is about figuring this stuff out BEFORE you build it. But maybe you have already done that. Or not.

Signing up for an affiliate program would be a good start. I don't really know much about this market, but this is the first thing I saw on Google when entering a search for movie affiliate programs.

Check out this movie affiliate program directory, this might help: http://www.associateprograms.com/directory/entertainment/dvd-and-videos/

When you sign up for whatever it is you might like they will give you an affiliate link code. Just embed this code on your website under your movie titles or your call-to-action i.e. ("Buy this Movie on DVD today")

That's a great point. I would definitely consider those facts before spending any more time on your project. You might also want to take into effect that a lot of people use torrents to download their movies for free. This alone makes this market unpredictable.

BTW Netflix has an affiliate program of their own you can promote.

Open up an amazon.... scratch that, amazon changed their program to now they don't pay you for driving traffic to them and the guy buys someting other than what you were selling. So i'd check some other site like barnes and noble and read the fine print, you better get paid if the idiot buys anything from the site. I can't believe amazon is doing that.

But yeah, go to a GOOD site that sells the dvd, get in their affiliate program and bam you'll have the dvd cover pic and your hot little link in your greedy little hands in no time :)

signup with amazon's affiliate program and you can be making commissions on movie sales in no time. i'd also look at getting accepted to the ebay partners network if i were running a movie promotional site.

as for options to monetize via CPA, there's plenty of movie and hollywood related offers out there. i have done well with Netflix and Zip.ca CPA's in the past, and am sure you could convert leads on both with your site...

Zip.ca is available on MaxBounty, and Netflix is available several places. Neverblue and Incentaclick both carry it with decent payouts per lead.
