I am getting ready to launch my first product in the dating niche. I plan to offer totally hands-on and unique affiliate support. I will offer my affiliates: * One on One support * The typical toos, banners, etc AND - The unique part - * Weekly affiliate chats. A weekly online chat session / eCourse where I take you step by step through some proven marketing techniques. Ask questions, get answers and help immediately! To take part in this chat, I would require you to make at least ONE sale. I plan to give away info loaded with value, that could stand on it's own as a product, for free to my affiliates. Would this make you interested in promoting the product. (Assume a good sales page, nice site layout, tested, above average conversion rate) Jim
Looks really appealing, but a bit green as well. Depending on your niche and how many affiliates you pick up, expect a lot of hours committed and still not making everyone happy. Let's face it, there are some utter idiots out there trying to promote products and what you are proposing would attract those types in droves.
I believe most affiliates would only care about how well does it convert. At least most of the affiliates you would want to attract. I'll second the the opinion of cldnails. It'll probably will not be worth your efforts.
I personally like to have wealth of different types of marketing options. Of course conversion is always key. I find I usually like to have the ability to launch email campaigns to my list. I tend to vary my approach to clients based on the market and the product. If it is a high priced product, you need multiple contacts with the customer before they buy. That's just common sense, very few people will buy something for $499 the first time you approach them.
I found, for myself, that conversions come first...support after. I like the support in boosting conversions...but a product that doesn't convert, vs an easy converting product, will win...support can be the tie-breaker though!
i think you're in a catch 22 situation ... the affiliates who make "at least one sale" will probably make more than one sale and not need that much support ... it's the ones that are struggling to make that one sale that need the support ... just my 2c
I think you'd attract more greener affiliate marketers by doing that. The more experienced, better ones, wouldn't bother wasting their time with all that bonus stuff you included.
