Affiliates - How did you get into this business?

This thread has been a great read. Learned a lot on what makes a good affiliate program.
It seems to pinpoint on why our site's affiliate program is not too popular.
Looks like we will have to adjust the payout system a bit.

 

Wow, had not read this thread for awhile. I started this thread over a year ago and it's still going. Lots of inspiration here!

Thought I would post an update to my November 2004 post....

Now aggregating 50+ feeds and running 40+ sites. If my per-day average keeps up, I'm on track to break 5 figures in net revenue this month for the first time ever. I suspect, however, I'll suffer a big drop as we get too close to Chirstmas for people to order off the Internet. Still, high 4 figures isn't bad!
