Affiliated Marketing - Ad Layout

How do you guys layout your ads on your website.

I personally prefer the right side and text links.

 

Same, right sidebar and text links most of the time. But I also utilize the header and footer sections too.

 

Yes Header and Footer seem to be very effective as well.

 

I use the sidebar and I also like to put those 468x60 banner ads in between my posts (when I remember). And yes, I definitely use text links and anchor links.

I also use ads for both my own products and affiliate products.

And here's something else I do:

I offer free stuff, and then, on the download and/or thank you page, I put ads for affiliate products (or more of my own products. Ditto for the download and thank you pages for my own products.

And if the affiliate product offers a freebie to get them started, so much the better. In that case, I plug it as an "unannounced bonus!"

Just make sure that the follow-up has YOUR affiliate link in it. This means you should sign up for it yourself and test it.

what about hovering ads ?

 

I forgot about such advertising, what I do is placing the links in the content

 

The best place for affiliate ads:

468x60 banner on top right section
120x600 banner at the right side bar.
300x250 banner on right side bar.

You should use TWO of them.
