Hi, I'm creating my first page, and have been trying to incorporate some of commission junction's products on my page as well as browsing around clickbank for affiliate products to market. My question is as follows, take this site for example: --- http://www.quillingmagic.com I've attended a seminar on how to build affiliate pages and tried to read up online about it, and they all seem to suggest that using design techniques similar to what you see on this quillingmagic page is best (big headline, in your face sales kinda thing , etc.), but I'm a little confused about this. I know that for me, when I'm surfing the net, I never look at pages that blatantly look like affiliates such as the one in the link above, I mean, we're after information right? But if so many people are doing it then is that the way I should build my page? Is it the way to make the most money from affiliate marketing? I'm currently trying to incorporate commission junction links around my page, but adding my own comments to them, but should I create dedicated pages to market my affiliate products individually? Do others look at these? Do you look at these? Maybe my internet habits are just strange!? Are these in fact the most effective pages like most people seem to be saying, or is it really the case that the sites that best disguise their affiliate marketing earn the most?
A site like that can get sales. It is to the point and gets people to take action. In your face is not always the best but it does help to get to the point fast.
