I have several typo domains for an affiliate site about to launch. (And yes this is ok with that affiliates TOS ) I'm thinking I will redirect to the referral page through something like linkfacts so I can still track the stats. My slight quandary is that one typo is so good I suspect it will get typo links and the term will be typo searched for... so maybe it would fare better as an optimized mini-site with links to the affiliate. I just hate to give up that free SEO. It will come down to my best guess at which method will convert better. I have a typo for a different domain that gets half its traffic from serps half from type-in. Anyone had similar experience?
typo are not searched that much since search engine has got a feature "did you mean" to correct the typo.
Yes, that's probably a big factor now, yet I still get traffic from google on a search term typo for a major site. It sits at number one for that term.
