Affiliate tracking software?

    Hi -

I've started offering an affiliate program for my software and would like to provide my affiliates with an interface that they can log into and check their accounts, payments, balances etc. Is there such software available and if so what do you recommend? Also a hosted service is preferable.

    Thanks a bunch.

I personally think you should have it built from scratch, coded in php or asp. That way you have the flexibility to add or modify as you evolve it. I havent really found a great affiliate tracking software for sites...

Try AssocTrac... It's a great Affiliate Management Software.

Discover how they recruited a sales force of OVER 70,000+ affiliates who sent them $3.2 Million in business last year alone.

There are some affiliate software with reviews here.

If you don't want so much work, but don't mind paying more then go for the affiliate networks or remotely hosted software that's also managed.

If you don't mind having extra work because you don't want to pay as much, then hosting the software on your own services is the option you would want to go for.

Good luck with your affiliate program.

Thanks to all that responded. I will look into the various applications. We just joined Shareasale (our program info is here for anyone that may be interested: http://www.shareasale.com/shareasale.cfm?merchantID=16561). We will use SaS for most affiliates, but ones we sign up manually (from our existing customer base) we will need to use seperate software to track them. Update: Purchased idevdirect, exactly what I was looking for.

    Thanks again!

Just another question: We are running two Affiliate programs now, one on SaS and another using iDevAffiliate (which I love BTW). We're only using iDevAffiliate because we wanted to allow our exisitng customers that don't have websites the ability to participate. So I have to ask, apart from SaS making it easier to handle payments, since I have to put in the effort to recruit Affiliates anyway what's the point in using them over iDevAffiliate?

I personally really like iDevAffiliate and was going to recomend it before I read that last post. I think Idev is useful because it's a familiar interface that affiliate know and trust and it's pretty easy to also navigate and use. That's just my opinion; best of luck to you.

try jam jrox. its a best aff tracking software I've seen. Its free but onyl good for 50 affiliates but the price for upgrade is expensive so you better have an expensive program to promote to in order to cover up the expenses for the upgrade.
