Affiliate script that uses points, instead of $$

Hey everyone, just wondering if someone has seen a script like this anywhere. I'd greatly appreciate the help.

So the concept would be an affiliate script that uses credits/points instead of money. Then there would be a shopping cart where users can redeem things using those credits.

Couldn't you just modify an open source shopping cart? Where it says "$" make it say points and on the payment page put points inforomation (ie: how many points they have to redeem).
