I run a PHP related site. I'm having hard time converting from google adsense ads on my PHP beginners guide pages. The ads are totally irrelevant because there are not enough ads to show on the topics i cover such as PHP variable, PHP loops, and so on (just see my sig below).

I'm wondering if there are advertisers in CJ which would appeal to my site (other than web hosting and such). Some company which deals with programmers, web applications, somehting that would appeal to my audience. People coming to my site are mostly beginners looking for quick solutions for php programming needs.

I get most of my visitors from the US.

Why don't you think along the lines of what a programmer would be interested in. They're technical, probably tweak their own PCs, so put up a newegg and thinkgeek ad up there. Would convert better if you got creative in how you presented the offers, not just slap up some banners.

you mean put up ads for computer parts? I never tried those ads but i can test them out.

Can you elaborate on that part? I can do some decent creative/designing work. So i would have customized banners instead of advertiser's banners? How are those banners different from advertisers banners? What could i write and show on them? would love to look ate some examples?

Testing different creatives to see which bring the best result. Some of the other comments here are really good. Just have to think like you were the consumer. ;)

Another thought would be programming and server administration books. Probably nothing good in CJ network (don't know).. but the best bet would be Amazon or Barnes.
