Affiliate Question

I recently started a ClickBank vendor account about 2 weeks ago.

I am in the process of finding affiliates to promote my ebook on ClickBank.

My question is, as an affiliate, have you ever joined an affiliate program because you received an invitation to join by e-mail sent from the publisher?

    Thanks,
    Eric

No - it actually really bothers me being spammed asked to run offers, you need to find a way to make it very appealing for affiliates to run your offer

No, I never have, but I just saw someone promoting their new clickbank product on a forum. They had a real nice affiliate program set up with banners, emails and keywords etc. Maybe you could run some kind of a special promo offer for anyone who signed up as an affiliate?

You have to create a good affiliate program and give a good amount to your affiliates. They have to feel that they will make money selling your ebook, what is quite difficult if nobody knows you... Never send messages to anyone, unless they have subscribed to your email list. Create a free ebook and collect email addresses from the people that will download it, so that you may have an email list and then be able to send them your offers, besides informative articles.

I appreciate the suggestions and comments concerning my question. I will think of things to promote my affiliate program and attract affiliates; but e-mailing affiliates directly to ask them will not be one of those things.

Again, thanks for your suggestions and comments.

Yep I agree with the others. If you were a well known guru then emailing people would be ok (not that you would need to)...but if you are not known to them you need to find a way to make them choose you, not the other way around. Good luck though :)
