how affiliate program works? I want to try joining those programs, but I’m afraid to try. Is it true that I could earn money through this? Give some advice please...
You don't have to be afraid haha. Go to http://www.linkshare.com and thats what I use for affiliate marketing. I am partnered with Apple, Netflix among others. You place special links on your site and if visitors click them and buy something you earn a certain % of that profit. Very easy to use and it works.
There are many Affiliate Program available in the market. You can find them in clickbank or search thorugh google etc. I once tried an Affiliate Program and I did earn some $. But before you earn some $, you need to put effort on it. It is also fun to join the Affiliate Program.
Even 1-day old babies can easily join affiliate programs but making money is not easy unless you are getting good traffic and nobody will change your affiliate links. I'm a full-time biz guy and believe me it is tough if your website is not on page 1 of G for popular keywords like "digital products".
I agree that traffic is the key!!! Getting into clickbank or linkshare is the easy part. Just start a free blog on blogspot, put some content on there and you shouldn't have any trouble getting accepted. Traffic is something that takes more work and the secrets are closely guarded by those in the know. That being said, I think you could drive 5000 visitors to an offer by writing articles, making videos, using twitter and Identica etc...
Those are good questions and is great that you want to begin to get involve. Affiliate programs are great ways to make money off the profit that you generated for a certain company. You will be able to make a a percentage on the every sale that you generate for the company. The key is to choose and affiliate program that you actually like and have a passion for. The next step is to promote it but first figure out what you want to do and focus on it.
Don't be afraid. It wouldn't kill you. You also didn't lose any dime if fail. Just try it. And see what happen.
Some of the better affiliate programs I have seen are amazon and Ebay. Mainly because everyone has heard of those sites and they offer a wide range of products. Amazon is the one I really prefer, just because of the wide range of banners and products. You can find almost anything at amazon. So you can customize your banners to match your articles and audience.
it's not easy and there will be a lot of distraction but once you get a hold of it, nothing else will beat you down..
