There are quite a few to pick from and I've started with Commission Junction years ago as they work with quite a lot of advertisers and they are very reliable. You basically apply to "work" with individual advertisers and you can promote general text links and ad banners or you can get more specific and promote specific products from that advertiser.

There are so many affiliate networks.Its easy to start and hard to earn.Gain some affiliate marketing knowledge first.Spend some time on forums.Decide your path and then start promoting affiliate offers.
