I am looking to try and find the best affiliate programs for UK targeted websites (aka .co.uk domain primarily). The website will be aimed at UK visitors but may also receive traffic from other countries. The ideal situation would be to have UK affiliate offers show up to UK based visitors and for adsense or another CPM/CPA offer show up for anyone that wasn't UK based. The first step will be to find the best UK targeted affiliate networks and then find the appropriate offers within those networks. Query: How do people account for traffic coming from non-targeted zones (usa traffic to a site offering uk only affiliate banners?) Please suggest networks primarily so I can investigate them further and find suitable products.
Hey there, I have no idea about serving ads to users based on region, but for UK affiliates I use tradedoubler.com, a UK & Europe based affiliate network, hundreds of programs.
Like Dan I have no idea about serving ads based on location. I also use Trade Doubler as well as Affiliate Window.
About 4yrs or so ago, I had signed up with tradedoubler but never really done anything with it - the biggest worry is that if I targeted UK visitors with affiliate offers and 50% of the site was non-UK visitors... I would effectively be wasting the advertising on 50% of the site visitors. I will definitely check tradedoubler again and see whether my account still exists - although I doubt it. I will also look at affiliate window at some stage.
I know a really good GPT or get paid to network of free sites - that allow you to complete paid offers, surveys and free trials and get paid free items depending on the site you're promoting in their network. The sites are innovative and unique and therefore drive some great conversions. I mentioned this because they are baseed the US AND UK! and therefore could be a good answer to the cross uk/us traffic generated on your site. PM me if interested, they pay monthly by paypal or check and have some great affiliate tools. Ultimately though, the sites unique twist on the GPT niche sells itself. Good luck my friends.
