Affiliate Programs for a File Hosting site?

I have a small site like rapidshare that gets 2000 uniques a day. People come from very different countries and the uploaded files belong to different topics (including warez and pr0n once in a while *sigh*). So there is no specific niche.

I've been running Adsense till now, but it generates 2$-5$ a day max. I'd appreciate if somebody knew of anything that would monetize better this kind of traffic.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Maybe you could use any social network affiliate program. Take a look around CJ dot com there are couple of them :)

I would advise you to try hosting affiliates. Try e.g. Hostgator and test if it works better than Adsense.

Isn't Hostgator cracking down on their affiliates that use them on their free hosting sites due to a lot of fraud?

We booted most of our free hosting affiliates. Almost all of them were lying saying our hosting was one penny a month forever....

They should have said one penny for the first month, and because of the lies most of the referrals ended up doing chargebacks or canceling after the first month.

Thats why there are a lot of those websites being sold right now. They are now tricking people to take over when there is not going to be profit.
