As I've seen, many affiliate networks limit their affiliates age to 18. Which mean that anyone below 18 can't register to their service. I ask you, should we block the way for teenagers that are trying to learn about affiliate marketing from registering affiliate programs / networks ? Is it the right thing to do? I would like to hear your opinion, IgoKov.
I think this probably has something to do with rules a lot of countries have about limiting the amount of time kids work. They are supposed to be learning and playing after all.
But if they decide to participate in affiliate marketing after the school, why you trying to block them away? If they can earn a bit to ask less pocket money for parents, it will be useful, don't you think?
We all know that many kids register affiliate accounts on parents name and start working. Difference is their parents have to cash the checks when they arive
Better doing affiliate biz than selling crack on da street . Let them learn as much as they can (18 or not).
Entering into an affiliate agreement is the same as entering into a contract. In the US, anyone below 18 is not legally allowed to enter into a contract. Jim
In many countries kids from 18 can start having all the financial aspects and responsibilities as income/taxes without parental asistance. Until that, they are under their parents and have very little liabilities but you might run into big responsibilities!
