Somebody tell me if they have dealt with this situation. I got an email a couple months ago from someone with a partygaming.com email address, wanting me to partner with partypoker.com. I exchanged a few emails, and they are offered me an ad program that is better than the affiliate program I can directly sign up for at partypoker.com. I didnt pursue it until a week or so ago, but decided to join the partypoker.com affiliate program as instructed by this person. I sent him my account name (that is pretty harmless), and asked him what I needed to do next to get his offer rolling. My next email from him is that he needs my password so he can set up my affiliate banners. Here is my concern. Partygaming.com, per their website is a parent of partypoker.com. So, up until this whole password thing came into play, everything should be fine. Why would I need to provide my password to this person via email though? If this is their website, they should be able to access that, correct? This whole situation gives me an uneasy feeling, and I really have no intention of sending my password, via unsecure email to this person. I should mention, however, that this person's name is a known name in the gambling industry, which makes me all the more concerned. Anybody else ran into this same situation?
