Affiliate program articles risk duplicate content penalty.

No one ever talks about this but i am sure that using the free articles that are available on most affiliate program websites will put you in danger of getting a duplicate content penalty from google. I am sure others disagree (???) but it just seems like common sense that this is happening allot with new webmasters. Here is an article on same. Duplicate Content #1 danger.

I think spending 10-15 minutes rewriting the article to at least 30% uniqueness would go a long way.

So don't you use spinned article while submitting ur articles in various article directories . do you submit the same article to more than 500 article directories without making any changes to it .

new webmasters that just copy and paste those articles on the net usually arent serious enough to even know about the google duplicate content rule.

I believe there is some form of penalty but the oldest always gets the credit, perhaps. For example, you can post an article at ezinearticles.com. That article can go way up on the search results for some keywords. But if you post that same article again to other places, once it is already indexed in Google, those new articles in other locations don't rank as well as the first normally. Therefore, that means a penalty for the secondary places.

If Google recognizes that your content is duplicated from elsewhere, you might not rank as high for keywords that you would normally if your content is unique.

    Take it easy...

There's no duplicate content penalty, unless you post the same article in the same domain repeatedly.

I've submitted 9 articles to EZA another 3 articles directory without changing a word.

Yes...there is no duplicate content penalty. Still, you should do a little re-writing.

I am not a fan of re-inventing the wheel as much as the next person. However, when it comes to writing articles, it reminds me of the grade school essays haunting us again. Best thing to do is do your own research, pull the best from all the articles you find which unfortunately means investing time and reading.

The exercise is invaluable because eventually you will learn to write fantastic articles that people enjoy reading, they will be jam packed with useful details instead of fluff and with a little research you can learn to optimize the articles so they produce traffic.

Kind of like having the goose that lays the golden egg. Now write more articles about more topics and add relevant links when possible. Run Forrest Run!!
