Hey, Whats the general % affiliates pay out? I know it differs in each market but im sure most of you have a good few each so what I would like to do is start a thread and get everyone to post how much % commision you pay out and what market your in. Lets see how this goes! RJ
Shawn, Im rubbish at explaining things as you can tell - Thats not exactly what i meant. Ive got a friend (mod from WMW) to explain it a little better.
Pretty good question I think. It will be interesting to discover what the average percentage payout is per industry. Obviously a percentage price is not a financial figure, but will help peopel work out what areas they can potentialy earn the most in based in unit value.
its pretty easy to tell with affiliates.... look at what you get paid vs what they are getting paid. With subscription based reoccouring websites I find it about equal to 1 month of subscription.
It's an impossible question to answer because there are an infinite number of setups/industries. Some pay per click, most pay for leads and/or sales. Some pay $0.05 per lead, while others pay $200 per lead. Some pay $0.01 per sale, and others will pay $1,000+ per sale. And then you also have everything in between.
It really depends on the company I suppose. Amazon pay really low (about 5%?), while a mp3 downloading service I'm using pays out 70%.
Hi We have about 30 different programs and payout commission from $5 per lead to 120% per sale. Totally varies. All different markets and all different types of plans. Hey Dejavu I may try your directory service. Thanks!
We make: Poker - 20-30% of rake every month (or $50-100 per signup) Casinos - 25-40% of profit every month (or $50-200 per signup) Sportsbetting - 20-30% of profit every month (or $40-100 per signup) Obviously it depends on the program. Hope that's what you were looking for.
It also depends on the type of content you will wrap around with your affiliates. High-payouts can come from adsense click for lawyer products. But you have to have a really, really good law site to get any meaningful revenue. I would say hosting is good but the market is extremely saturated. The content matters the most, and placing the advertising around the content in the proper manner is king. Like the above poster said, you could only make a few cents on mp3s, but if you have an mp3 website full of samples, you could bang out some good bucks.
