Is this possible? If so, how would one who admittedly doesn't know much about affiliate marketing start up a campaign without a landing page?
You can do this -- just buying ads and placing affiliate links. But you will be losing potential earnings. It costs less than $10 to register a website for 1 year. You can host a website for <$50 per year. So you can have your own website for <$60 per year. You can use one domain for multiple promotions - create subdomains or categories. So the investment is minimal the benefits are tremendous -- you can promote multiple offers to the same visitor increasing the chances that you will earn commissions, you have a chance to generate free natural search traffic, you have complete control over your marketing activities.
I do already have a couple sites, a blog and a directory, but the thought of creating a website, or landing page if that's the right terminology, for just affiliate advertising doesn't really appeal to me, not to mention the fact that I'm not a web designer, so I'd probably have to pay someone to do it for me - and honestly I wouldn't know where to look.
If you want my honest opinion, the easiest way to do affiliate marketing w/o a website is to... sorry guys, but... use conquer your niche forum you can easily post your affiliate link in an ad at the top of their forum, and just earn credits for ad impressions by being active in their forum. I had one of my affiliates for one of my products on Clickbank earning between $100-$300 a month. after tracking down where some of my traffic was coming from, I noticed some was coming from the CYN forum. I went there, and noticed that someone was advertising my site on there. so, I clicked the link and clicked the order button to see who the affiliate was, and noticed that he was pulling in $100 to $300 a month from my website. that's the only way I know how to do it w/o a website but honestly, you're only diggin your own grave. I'd rather drive traffic to a landing page where I can get their name and email, and use my autoresponder to 'brand' myself as an authority, and then promote my affiliate offer. If I have a bonus product that ties in with what I'm promoting, then I'm advertising that bonus in every follow up email. I'll usually get a bonus product by either altering some PLR ebooks and articles, or by just flipping Master Resale Rights materials, where I have the right to give it away. Seriously, you do need some type of landing page for your affiliate promotions, or a mailing list at least. Even if you have to create a simple free blog from blogger.com, at least you don't have to pay for it, and you get your own domain (even though it has 'blogspot.com' as the ending) so you can optimize it via SEO.
Im a web designer and I can make a good looking website my problem is I dont know that much about affiliate programs i wanted to make a website based on these program but dont know much about this topic can someone point me in the right direction. ennergiwe maybe we have the oppsite skills lol
I posted about when I use direct linking a while back. When I first started affiliate marketing I did all direct linking and I was making around $250 a day for a little while. Direct linking does suck though because its hard to keep your ads going. Google only allows 1 display URL per view so if other people try to direct link the same offer, you're most likely sunk. It's rare, but you can find ways to do it and make some good cash. http://www.jonathanvolk.com/ppc/easiest-200-bucks-ive-ever-made-direct-linking.html
Yes, you can make money without a website but it is getting tougher. Nowadays, with Adwords slapping you for direct linking, you can only go to other PPCs or use forum marketing. The truth is, your options are limited without a website. At least with a website, you can still work on SEO and other traffic driving methods.
How exactly do you use AdWords for direct affiliate marketing? Do you just use the referrer link as your URL target?
U can start with Myspace or maybe Squidoo...its easy and they are free...honestly i tried them to promote affiliate products and i've generated quite a handsome income.
Use the affiliate link provided as the destination url, while the display url shows the parent site. In other words, www.selltoys.com is the parent, www.selltoys.com/affiliateid=john is the destination url. That is direct linking to affiliate product page. Frankly, nowadays, this only works if you are willing to pay top dollars for your ads. If not, it works only if you are the only advertiser bidding for the keywords as well as the only advertiser for this product. The way to work around is still to create a landing page or mini-website.
definetly PPC is a solution.. usually i purchase info domains and put redirects on them.. works well for me.. squidoo is another good way..
If you're a newcomer, please dont mess with PPC if not you'll end up losing a lot of money instead of gaining.
I would recommend building websites for your products and selling that way. If you need some help along the way contact me!
I recommend trying PPC. A lot of our top earning affiliates use it and make incredible profit. See sig for details!
If you place your ad directly on adwords or aany another advertizing site. Due to quick landing page you will get some more leads or sale. But if you use website. It will take more time to go to the landing page. Like first click on your site ad >>> then your website>> then he/she have to find add>> then he click or come close to sale or lead. BUt It can make your site brand. And user can ciome next time your site to. Its also depened on program, that which program you are going to use. So, try it. If its suits you. then carry on.. Otherwise you have one successful way(your website)
I think if you want to do it without a website then using squidoo would be your first stop, although it will be time consuming it can be done. You will need to think more interms of volume to start seeing results though, but as long as you do your keyword research and go after long tail keywords with low competition and a decent amount of searches you can do it. Also try to pick affiliate programs with high conversion rates, things like e-books and chuckaway stuff thats on clickbank don't seem to do as well, that said it is possible as i have made a few sales with clickbank using squidoo but just to make it easier on yourself try to go for something thats better quality. Also to get the ball rolling try to build a LOT of lenses, like i said volume is the key.also don't forget that you earn money through squidoo as well, not a lot and it takes a few months to see anything, but anythings better than nothing, lol After squidoo would be free blogs like blogger and wordpress. Go after it like a demon and write plenty of articles to promote your lenses and blogs, submit to social sites like digg and stumbleupon, join squidoo groups and submit your lenses to them, leave comments on other people squidoo lenses so hopefully they do the same to yours etc,etc... Anyway you get the idea good luck!
You can use ezine articles as well...i'm surpirsed no one mentioned that ( i think ) you would have to have your own domain however, which could redirect to your affiliate link. btw, yould anyone be interested in purchasing a pack of 100 MMR ebooks? how much do you think that would go for?
Yes. ezinearticles is doing good for me. Most of the time you will get top 10 ranking in google for the keywords that you target in your articles.
