These are 3 options I am looking at to making money online, so I thought it would be interesting to collect your opinions on each of the following.

My interest and degree is law and finance based so I will probably be doing something in that area.

The web design option is selling coded graphics, as I can design and code.

    Which is the:
    - Easiest to set up
    - Long term
    - Safer
    - Risky
    - One with more potential
    - Quicker to see returns

I'll add more when I think of them :D

I do have an amazing idea for an ecommercish type site but I need the cash from the above to set it up.

I believe the Adsense webdesign is the most safest, convenient, organized, top earner, however it's always good to have a mixture of both.

    - Easiest to set up - adsense, just paste the code:) well lot of things later, but that's it.
    - Long term - hmmm.... all of them ?:) depends on you
    - Safer - none of them, I would even say adsense is less safer than others
    - Risky - adsense, you can get banned easily and no way to return
    - One with more potential - hmmm....if you are not big established design firm I would say affiliate marketing
    - Quicker to see returns - web design

The problem I am seeing with that is being the "jack of all trades, master of none" as I will have less time to spend on each developing the websites/my skills/ad positioning/keyword tracking etc. if you see what I mean?

There's only really so much you can learn with these things though, the rest is creativity, so I'd agree go with a mixture, then if you prefer to do 1 or 2 things over the other(s) then drop the extra

Agreed. This statement apply to majority of people.
I suggest you chose the on that have score average and meet all of you requirement which is web design.
This is due to the web design can easily earn more than $20/day.
If compare to adsense, you need to have a lot of traffic to get $20/day

Good point, but on the other hand, playing devils advocate you can get $1000's a day from adsense or affiliate marketing when you are good at it/have a popular site etc. but will never earn more than that with web design.

The most honest answer I can give is "it depends".

How are you planning to drive traffic to your sites?

I would say graphic design is potentially the fastest to get started, but you still have to find clients. And if you do, do you have a portfolio of work or other design projects you can show them? Also, if you're planning to sell coded graphics, how will you be promoting them?

I personally prefer affiliate marketing compared to adsense because if I'm going to be sending traffic to a website, I'd rather make $20/$50/$100 per conversion than just a few cents. But that doesn't mean adsense might not be the best choice for you.

And even within affiliate marketing, there are different business models you can approach it with. Blogging, review sites, building an opt-in list, etc. Other people have lots of success creating and selling their own information products because then you can leverage affiliates and have them do all the work of promoting it for you. But then, you have to deal with customer service queries, etc. The bottom line is that every approach has pros and cons.

Rather than looking at which approach is easiest or fastest, which will vary depending on who you ask, I'd say start by looking at some existing business models that are already successful online and then decide which model seems best to suit your assets, abilities and interests. Then go do it.:)

    Hope that helps!

Well thinking about the pros and cons of each... web design has the cons that are the pros of the other 2 and vice versa.
