Admittedly, I do not know much about the affiliate marketing technique. I know that I need software to get started to allow people to sign up to become an affiliate to my web hosting company. The problem is, I'm not sure what software is put together well and would work well for my company.

    Any suggestions?

I've heard good things about JROX as well.

If I'm not mistaken they have a free demo at their site good for up to 50 affiliates.

    Good luck in your search.

I would agree. There are many good affiliate softwares out there, but how good it is depends on what you want your affiliate program to do.

    Hey PHPGator-

I know you said to close this thread but here's my two cents just in case you haven't purchased iDev yet...

I would sign up as an affiliate with a merchant using any platform you are considering using prior to making your purchasing decision. I'm primarily a product creator/merchant myself but am an affiliate for many merchants using a variety of affiliate platforms.

Probably the best solution (long-term) is a custom one but that would be pricey and you'd have to make sure you hired a really talented person or group.

I'm an affiliate for a couple of merchants using the iDev software and I personally don't care for the way it looks or is organized. I know you can buy an upgrade to have nicer looking affiliate links but I'm just not a big fan of the interface.

A more reasonably priced solution, and one that I like better is JVManager 1. There is a new "2" version but it's very pricey.

No platform is perfect but I would do a lot of homework before purchasing as it's a pain to switch platforms after you've got your army out there workin'.
