Affiliate marketing is not easy

Hi after reading how some ppl claim to make easy money on affiliate, I decided to try it out. First of all, finding the right products to market is difficult because they restrict certain countries. After a month, I only got $2.20 on my CJ account. That is after spending 2 digits figure of SEM. If it is so easy why do affiliate marketer still use adsense on their website? Secondly, affiliate get saturated quickly. The more marketer the higher the cpc to advertise, and even for free sign up the more the people who have signed up, the less leads. Thirdly why don't companies offering the products not market the products themselves? All they gotta do is run adwords campaign.

The answer to that one is easy... you answered it yourself - it's cheaper to have YOU market their products and only pay for success, than to market themselves. That's what affiliate marketing is all about!

    Don't give up that easy!

It takes time to make your own successful recipe.

Start from the bottom, and work your way up. Don't waste a lot
of money on something you're not an expert at yet.

    Good luck!

    Hey

i just researched few things how few (not all) super affiliates are earning...

They are earning from affiliates like you.. who are not getting success and join their newsletter... and they keep on sending crap ebook links and crap $500 a day software links...

REally this is their main stream of income and referral income from affiliates who goes to networks through their sites and blogs....

Other Super affiliates : They are running a lot BHT and mostly selling acai berry/biz opp products by fake sites and blogs....i am sure you must have seen some acai berry blogs... and Super affiliates are helping poor americans to go below poverty line.

And it never means there is less or no scope in affiliate marketing....

    Hope few people listening..

Affiliate marketing is not easy and that is very true.

The fact is that most affiliate marketers only last a very short amount of time, they give it a go for a few months and don't stick at it, they walk away and say that it doesn't work.

If you are going to be successful at it you have to put work into it, affiliate marketing if often portrayed as a simple, get rich quick type of business but the truth is that the top affiliate marketers put a lot of work in from the beginning and continue to do so today.

Work hard at it, learn all you can and never.....never give up

Many people are engaging affiliate marketing and some will have luck and it will seem easy to the individual. But i totally agree with you - making a profit requires dedication.

Suppose you try marketing a product on an affiliate site. You spend $10 on SEM trying it out to see if it is profitable. It turns out that you get some leads and earn $5. So you lost $5 and you think maybe the product is not good or saturated and decided to try it out with a different product. You lost another $5. Keep on going and calculate how much you will lose. The first product I market didn't even return me a penny.

Even when is true affiliate marketing requires a small investment to start, since there are free ways to promote your products, is still very confusing for most people. I've been there. The information is all scattered on the internet and on top of that, new things keep coming every week, literally, that will distract you and even confuse you more.

Many of you guys reading this post could agree with me on this, I'm sure.

Look for services that can give you all the elements an affiliate can use to be in business, like a hub affiliate membership website, kind of thing, to simplify your life.

I've tried almost 5 different products on various affiliates. So far I have lost money. I didn't lose money for trying it out with adsense. It is true affiliate requires capital. But even for successful product, I think the earnings will be less than what you get from a good site with adsense on it.

If affiliate marketing would have been so easy then why do they need you for marketing. Their products gets marketed from you even if you didn't sell that. You display that on your site.

You're right. It's not easy. There are a lot of scam artist "gurus" out there who try to make it out to be something it isn't to sell their garbage.

But it's also not impossible. There are many people here on DP (including myself) who make their living as affiliate marketers (although I also got into publishing last year - I still make the majority of my money as an affiliate.)

Personally I think CJ is a hard place to start - I find Clickbank easier to make money with.

Yes affiliate marketing is not easy, however most affiliate programs you don't need to spend money on. CJ is an example of one. Don't join any programs where you are required to pay anything. Good luck!

I don't find affiliate marketing that hard, just boring unless you do PPC. I wrote 30 articles in a month for a niche in Clickbank. I was sending the traffic to a Squidoo lens. That was back in July and I haven't touched it since then. Since July I've made more than $400 just from those 30 articles and had a few sales recently. From time to time I still get a sale.

So scale that up, outsource stuff and you can see the potential. When you look at it my articles are worth about $15 each, but that is still going up since I continue to make sales. I can write 4 per hour, that's $60 per hour, pretty good for writing articles if you ask me.

Hi Dolin88, I agree that affiliate marketing is very competitive but I'd like to tell you that you can't expect to build wealth empire in mere one month. . There is loads to learn in affiliate marketing... You will learn them all gradually .. You can win if you focus . Don't quit yet

In the beginning, it would be quite hard for you to earn from affiliate income, but once you have that 'key' element, then you will see some improvement on your earnings...
