Affiliate Manager... anyone need one? or...

    Hi there,

I've owned an incentive network for a few months now... so I guess you could consider me a newbie still, but I do know quite a bit about how things work. I would love to have the opportunity to help out an Affiliate site/network. I can help users with setting up accounts for postbacks and whatnot. I would preferably like to stay at home and do it... but if thats not possible, anything in Massachusetts or Connecticut would probably work.

If I don't get any responses to this... I would like to ask, how would I manage to get a job doing this?

I can be online helping people pretty much all day any day... even weekends if needed.

    Thanks,
    Garrett

I know some guys that do this professionally for advertisers and I used to know a couple of consultants that helped people set up affiliate relations professionally, but I think this has largely been folded into the concept of a "monetization consultant" on the publisher end, meaning that you need to know about Affiliate Nets, CPC, CPM and various other methods of monetizing web real estate.

Mostly you're just going to have to network yourself some clients. I actually know some site owners who need monetization experts, so they're out there, you just have to prospect and ask around. I'd help them myself, but I'm busy full time with my ongoing near-employer style client, heh.

Ahhhh i see. Thanks for the reply on-on. I've never even really heard the term "monetization consultant". But I just looked it up, and that seems about right. People must be making a fortune on that. One site is offering the service for $150 an hour. All I can say is wow.

I would absolutely be willing to work for less than that lol. But obviously I don't have the experience and knowledge they do. (yet)

consultants are people who help some one to do something that they [the consultants] are not able to do for themselves.
You can not be a consultant, manager, etc, without having worked previously in the field, and having your own business.

thanks guys for your responses. and nickflame, I understand that. I'm not technically looking to be a consultant... im looking to be more of a person that can help with support at an affiliate site... setting up postbacks and talking with members on how to set everything up... sid's and oid's... etc.
