Affiliate links Question!

    Is it okay to have affiliate links in the e-books that we are selling in the BST forums???

    Of course you can. If it's your product, you can do whatever you want.

    At DP, only affiliate links in thread or post that aren't allowed.

    Got a ebook today that was as usual useless and stuffed with affiliate links.... Thats why...

    I know at least one guy(excluding me) who won't be happy with that..:p

    It's fine to have them in something like an e-book. You just can't actively promote the affiliate program itself on the forum. For example, you may not put aff links in posts. You may not PM your aff links to people. You may not mention in a post that people should click an aff link in your signature. You may not mask them and post them as tinyurl (or similar) links. You may not link to something like a Youtube video that's designed just to get your aff link out there (we had people pull that after the aff links rules were added to the BST announcement). And you may not link to a landing page that also has the sole purpose of getting people to click an affiliate link (like linking to an actual ad where the only option is to click your link). Aff links in a freebie e-book or something like that shouldn't be an issue unless the e-book is nothing but one long ad for the program or something.
