Right now on my homepage there are a few text links with keywords (anchor text) that go to preselling pages within my site. .I also have adsence on my homepage. It would take too long to explain but I have a stratradigy for my home page were I would put text links using keywords or one line product description that would click though to affiliate links instead of linking to another page on my site. Is there any way this could hurt me.
you can market affiliate products and there's nothing wrong about it. there are plenty of sites designed primarily to sell affiliate products (i have few of my own as well) and they are all working out just fine. one thing to keep in mind, if you make any major change in site layout/content/navigation, then expect a temporary drop in SERP ranking but with some link building, you will come back up
Does really change of design effect on SEPR? ( only design not SEO linking and the url. So we keep the url as they were but only chage some graphics etc.. ) ?
There is no problem if you are promoting the affiliates. But If you add lots of outgoing links then google consider the website useless for the visitors. So keep affiliates very few.
Yep...too many affiliate links sets off a red flag for Google. So try to limit how many you put on each page. I don't know if there is a specific limit but lots of affiliate links usually means a website is spam.
I am only considering 6 affiliate links. From the earlier post to my original question about affiliate links on my home page 6 afflictive links seems on, however I have another question. Before I ask it I need to admit I do not know much about Google bot or any other spidering that may take place on a website. With that said if you have affiliate links on you home page will that mess up the spidering of my site causing spiders to go off my site to affiliate sites.
Just limit it it. If you think it's too much. Just give Google the moderate number of links in order not to be penalized.
