Affiliate links into landing page

    Greetings,
I know this has been answered many times, but I have found contraddictory information regarding affiliate urls into adwords (maybe google changed policies after the things I read were written)
I think I understand I am not allowed to use an affiliate url that points directly to the merchant website.right? But, Can I point it to a page on my site that contains something similar to a promotion of that product including affiliate links?
    Thanks in advance

You can do both. Just make sure the domain in the display URL matches the domain of the landing page.

Even so, you really want to create your own landing page as soon as possible. But yes, using the affiliate link is a quick way to get a campaign started.

Not to be pedant but Adwords Guidelines ( https://adwords.google.com/select/guidelines.html ) say:

I also understand that only one ad for each search for each domain will be shown but what if I have a clickbank hoplink?
SHould I put as landing url my hoplink and as displayed url merchant's url? Have I understood correctly?
    Thanks for your patience

Yes, in that case the destination URL would be the hoplink and the display URL will be the merchant's domain.
