I have wrote a php script that allows me to enter products into a database and automatically generates pages for each product. The output of the page has a .html extension is has all the basic on page SEO. With that said I can't seem to find any affiliate programs that a) convert well and have good $/sale payout b) let you link directly to products If anyone is willing to message me some good info on an affiliate program(s) that do both those I would be willing to exchange a copy of my script for it (example: www dot buy-vitamins dot info/products/61.html)
I'm not sure that I completely understand your query, but I believe that the Amazon Associates program meets your requirements. Amazon lets you build affiliates links to any page on Amazon.com. For example: <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect?tag=entrepreneu0a-20&path=tg/detail/-/0764567586/qid=1113100177/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14?v=glance&s=books&n=507846">Search Engine Optimization for Dummies</a>
Have a look at this thread. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=6996 This affiliate site pays 60% of the profit on each sale. There is nothing to stop you from linking directly to each product page, but I'm not sure exactly why you want to do this?
I want to link directly to the product page or payment page for a specified product so that i can make my site look like the store, and when they click buy now it takes them directly to what they want to buy.
Ok if that is what you want there is no reason you can't do it. However the templates that are available to any new affiliate convert really well. I personally wouldn't try reinventing the wheel. But suit yourself.
You can deeplink to ebay search results as well. On CJ the majority actually lets you link to the products.
yo-yo i know a site that might be of interest to you. would love to get a copy of your script ;-) thnx
Soudsn to me that you want to get product datafeeds and then use those to merchandise a site to look like a store. That woul dbe a lot easier than what you are doing. Quickie: BeFree - Free Feeds CJ - I think they are free now, but I paid $250 a couple of years back to get my feed account set up Performics - they used to want $2500!!! But now they are free. Glad I waited. LinkShare - called LinkShare Merchandizer. They want $250 for set up. You need a static IP to log into their FTP. I think they will do a push too, it you have your own FTP There are some other feeds out there for free: Overstock, eVitamins, Rockler and more that you get roght from the merchant. www.ABestWeb.com has a thread on feeds.
along the same lines, i'm looking for a good program to make static html pages out of data feeds. i know there is webmerge, but i don't really want to shell out 100 if i don't have to.
GTech- You have to submit a support ticket request the feeds. Not all merchant have feeds, but most of the bigger, well-known ones do. They will set it up in a day or two in an FTP account. YOu log in and download the feeds. The feed file is updated weekly. As I mentioned, when I di this there was s et up fee. I don't know if there still is. What was convenient though was that they dibited my account for the fee instead of me having to pay up front. They might not do that if you don't already have an earning history with them though. Wendy- Sorry, dunno. Never checked it out. I wrote my own, but I work in ASP, not PHP. I use a mix of static pages and dynamic pages that pull data right from the DB, but I URL rewrite the dynamic pages to look like static.
