affiliate links - forwarding

Hi, I notice that alot of sites use forwarders rather than using a direct affiiliate link.

for example, the link will be something like this:

http://www.mysite.com/link.php?threadid=20776&linkid=0

clicking on it automatically forwards it to:

www.youraffiliatelink.com


are these all custom scripts or is there something out there that I could use?

You could setup redirects in cPanel.

 

there must be a better way though.. I add about 10 affiliate links daily, it'll be a pain to do all that through cpanel.

 

use .htaccess to redirect your url

Redirect /forum/index.php?id=blabla http://yoursiteaffiliatesite.com

 

I will have 10 000 + links per year... is that the most efficient way to do it?
