Affiliate links doubt

    Hi,

    I would like to embed CJ affiliate links in the blog post instead of posting banner or text links in my blog. Do I choose "get Keyword link" function under "Get link" section? Is this the correct way to get the link so that I am credited for affiliate sale?

    Or do I go to one of the banner and use the link in red text to embed into my blog post? Is this the correct way instead?

    <a href="http://www.dpbolvw.net/click-1234567-12345678" target="_top">
    <img src="http://www.tqlkg.com/image-1234567-12345678" width="120" height="90" alt="" border="0"/></a>

    Thanks

    Both will work (the clicks will be counted). But if the advertiser offers text links I would use the text link because CJ counts the stats of the banners, links etc. so if you grab the URL from the banner code the advertiser will see conversions from the text link in the banner stats.

    Just grab the code in the red from a text link, then link it to your keywords. Post the image tracking html of the aforementioned text link just after your link. The images are transparent, but will track impressions along with the click throughs.

    Hi,
    Must I post the image tracking html as well? I have not done so. If I have not posted the image tracking html, will affiliate sales be tracked?

    I redirect my CJ affiliate link using .htaccess.
    I redirect http://www.example.com/go/productname to http://www.dpbolvw.net/click-1234567-12345678

    If I were to post the image tracking html, is this the correct way? Here goes:
    <a href="http://www.example.com/go/productname" target="_top">
    <img src="http://www.tqlkg.com/image-1234567-12345678" width="120" height="90" alt="" border="0"/></a>

    A few years ago, I had the same question. I asked the CJ support directly and they told me that I don't need to use the tracking pixel. It is just for the stats but the sales will be tracker properly.

    no no just place the tracking images html next to the html that links to http://www.example.com/go/productname so that you have accurate recordings of impressions. That htaccess redirect will record the click throughs and commissions.

    <a target="_blank" href="http://www.example.com/go/productname">Visit Product Name</a> <img height="1" src="http://www.cjimageurl.com" width="1" border="0" />
    Code (markup):
    That way your'e tracking impressions of the URL and when a visitor clicks "Visit Product Name" you will also track click throughs.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your help. I got it now. Now, I am not using any htaccess redirect. I just leave the CJ link as it is. However, I am afraid that it will attract less clicks if the links look awful.

    I am another doubt. There are different kind of text links, for e.g Visit Product Name, 20% off etc. Can I edit the anchor text as I wish?
